Cycle 2 – Game 2

Legate Marshall Orad stepped over the body of former Sub Commander Talask. He proved a useful scapegoat but he knew that it would be him if the tide of battle in this sector didn’t shift back into their favour, Zardu Layak had made it quite clear that no more failures would be tolerated and so he had tasked Chaplins to his force to make sure that any weakness was purged from the regiments under his command.

There had been widespread retreats at the city district, plains and hills with all of the battles swinging in one way or another, his own cohorts had seen some success and even though Talask had fulfilled his mission, he had taken so many losses to the Adepts of Mars that there the field had to be abandoned.

If the loyalists pushed their advantage on the Northern front then the stronghold would be within striking distance. If he could stop them then they could hopefully regain the momentum that they had lost since taking the starport. He needed a win, his life and probably literally depended on it.
